Shanghai EXPO, especially to low down the traffics in the
beginning month of EXPO (May), the WMC/MWC committee decided
to postpone the 2010 event from May 2010 to October 2010 to
strongly support Shanghai EXPO.

China 4G Lab hosted an important seminar on
"Effective 4G IPR Protection in China and Abroad" on
2009.12.14 in Shanghai. Over 50 technical experts and IP
experts attended this seminar, and all agreed that an
effective IPR protection is the most critical issue in 4G
R&D.

China will invest over $50B in "Sensing
China" national project including 4G wireless networks,
Sensor networks and Cognitive networks. The technology hubs
will be in Shanghai, Wuxi and Beijing. World's leading

meeting will be scheduled on 9th of November 2009 in
Shanghai to address the emerging Chinese 4G industry
standards covering terrestrial and rapid train mobile

The World Mobile Congress management held
its routine meeting in Hangzhou, China on Oct. 21st for the

China launched the national key project on
next generation wireless mobile sensor networks including
ad-hoc and mesh networks. The China 4G technology will
converge the mobile wireless communications and the
multi-dimensional sensor systems & networks in an open
architectural and cost-effective way, and will continue
supporting the China TD development and its long-term
evolution strategy.

China has 1.37 billion population, and
currently has over 600 million mobile users. By year 2013,
China's mobile users will exceed 1 billion and about 70%
subscribers will use data services for mobile Internet
applications. If average user spends RMB80 per month for
mobile service (will increase to RMB150 by year 2013), the
